Kovový: Kovový lak na nehty vytváří po nanesení na nehty lesklý nebo kovový vzhled. Tato povrchová úprava se vyznačuje reflexním, lesklým charakterem, který dodává nehtům vyleštěný a téměř zrcadlový lesk. Obvykle obsahuje kovové pigmenty nebo reflexní částice, které po zaschnutí laku vytvářejí kovový, třpytivý nebo dokonce chromový efekt. Intenzita povrchové úpravy se může lišit – některé kovové laky poskytují jemný třpyt, zatímco jiné vytvářejí výrazný, vysoce lesklý kovový vzhled.
