I was worried the red would look flat, but the aurora shift actually moves from deep crimson to a pinkish glow depending on the light. Applying it with the dual-ended sponge gave me a smooth, even coat with no streaks. Already planning my next manicure with it.
The pearlized finish shifts from deep red to a coppery pink depending on the light, which I didn't expect from a single powder. I applied it with a sponge over a dark base and the aurora effect really popped. Two coats and it still looks smooth, not gritty.
Wasn't sure a red shift would show up on my dark polish but this aurora pigment pops way more than I expected in sunlight. The powder is really fine, no gritty chunks, and it buffed into a smooth pearl finish with just two coats of topcoat over it.
