I've been doing my own gel nails for a year and this magnet wand finally got the cat-eye effect to actually pop. The magnet end is strong enough that one slow pass gives a clean line instead of that smeared blur. My only note is the wand itself is lighter than it looks, but it's easy to hold steady.
